Nondeductible Contribution

Non-deductible contributions are payments made to a retirement account with after-tax dollars, meaning individuals do not qualify for a tax deduction. Unlike deductible contributions, which reduce an individual's taxable income, non-deductible contributions do not provide any immediate tax benefits.

However, any investment gains on these contributions are typically tax-deferred until the individual withdraws the funds in retirement.
