Public Keys

Public keys are used to receive payments or deposits. They are derived from the private key using a complex cryptographic algorithm and appear as a series of digits. Whenever a transaction is made, a public key is associated with the transaction, which all users on the blockchain network can see. The public key is like a unique identifier for the user's wallet and is used to receive funds. They are designed to be shared with others and are not considered confidential.
