Rollover

A rollover is the process of transferring funds from one retirement account to another, such as from a previous employer's 401(k) plan to an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) at a different financial institution.

Rollovers can be initiated by the account owner or their financial institution, and they allow the account owner to maintain the tax-advantaged status of their retirement savings.
