Validator

A validator is an entity that contributes to the consensus process by verifying and validating transactions on a blockchain network. Validators ensure the accuracy and consistency of the blockchain ledger by confirming that all transactions follow the rules and protocols of the network. Unlike miners, validators do not compete to create new blocks on the blockchain, but instead, they are selected to validate transactions based on a set of predetermined rules. Validators are typically rewarded with transaction fees or a portion of the native asset of the blockchain for securing the network.
